CTAP Staff Development Workshops

NOTICE: The CTAP Live Online Workshop schedule is being moved from this location to the new CTAP State EdTech Porgal at www.myctap.org. Please check back after July 1, 2009 to register for upcoming workshops.

CTAP Live Online Staff Development Workshops are an excellent way for you to learn how to more effectively integrate technology into your classroom while earning professional development hours. Each class listed below consists of 2 hours of online instruction and 1 hour of independent participant work. Each class has an assignment that must be emailed to the instructor within a week of the class. If assignments are not received or do not adequately show completion of the assignment, no professional development hours will be verified. Participants will receive an email within 2-3 weeks of the class verifying attendance and completion of the required assignment.

CTAP Live Online Staff Development Workshops are provided using our Breeze Meeting technology that enables you to participate in a live online meeting with the trainer and other participants from any computer with a sufficient Internet connection. DSL from home works fine and most school networks are able to connect to our Breeze meetings. Prior to participating in a CTAP Live workshop, participants should have basic computer and file management skills and know how to create folders, download and save files from the Web and store them on their own computers. Participants should also be able to connect speakers to their computer and adjust media settings such as volume, audio output, etc.

NOTE: Check with your district to see if professional growth hours are available for participation in CTAP live online classes.
